1980s vessel pendant in Sterling silver
€75,00
1980s vessel pendant in Sterling silver. Designed in a fluid teardrop form with a screw-top closure, opening to reveal a central stem extending into the vessel, and fitted to the top with a circular bail. The sculptural silhouette and polished finish reflect the organic, minimalist aesthetic that came to define late 20th-century jewellery. Tested sterling silver, British hallmark of the Lion Passant for Sterling silver.
Originally conceived by Elsa Peretti in 1969 as a miniature bud vase worn on a leather cord, the Bottle pendant became one of her first jewellery designs for Tiffany & Co. following her arrival in 1974. Created during the same period in which she collaborated with Halston, the design embodied a new approach to jewellery, combining sculptural form with everyday function, and remains one of the most influential silhouettes in modern jewellery history.
