Vintage hexagonal St. Christopher pendant

In a world that moves faster and farther than ever, we are all travelers, whether chasing adventure, education, or a quiet moment away from home. Long ago, when journeys were perilous. loved ones might send a companion in miniature, a talisman, a prayer, a guardian.

Saint Christopher was one of the most cherished. Legend tells of a giant who sought to serve the greatest king in the world. only to discover that Christ was the mightiest of all. The giant dedicated himself to helping others, guiding travelers safely across treacherous rivers.

One evening, a small child asked to be carried. As the giant waded through the raging waters, the child's weight grew heavier and heavier until it felt as if he bore the weight of the entire world. When they reached the far shore, the child revealed himself as Christ and gave the giant a new name: Christopher. Christ-bearer.

Mentions of Saint Christopher date back to the 3rd century AD. His image became a portable prayer, a symbol of protection for all who journeyed into the unknown. Today, whether near or far, a Saint Christopher is a reminder that someone is hoping for your safe return, that you are never truly alone.

Art Deco

After the horrors of the First World War, the 1920s ushered in a new age filled with the promise of a brighter future. Never before had a generation so fervently rejected the ideals and fashions of the past as those of the Art Deco period. Women, in particular, rebelled against traditional conventions. With greater access to the workforce, professions, fashions, and pastimes once reserved for men were now embraced by women.

Women bid farewell to the corset, elaborate long hairstyles, and behind-the-scenes perfection. Cropped hair, flowing dropped-waist dresses, and bold red lipstick worn in public took centre stage. Those who embraced these trends flourished, while those who did not were left behind in the old world. Creatives such as Louis Cartier, René Boivin, and Raymond Templier excelled, establishing reputations among the most elite and fashionable.

Competition in the world of jewellery sparked a frenzy of astonishing creativity, with each new design showcasing exceptional skill and originality. Gemstone combinations were daring and contrasting, settings were symmetrical, lines were clean and straight, and pieces were designed to be remarkably comfortable to wear. Designs were inspired by faraway lands such as Egypt, Japan, and India, with gemstones bringing previously unseen motifs vividly to life.
